AUDITION FOR THE ALY ALEIGHA BAND

We are currently looking for COMMITTED & EXPERIENCED instrumentalists & an audio engineer to rotate.

The more available & prepared you are, the more we will plug you in
as opportunities come up. Gigs are currently random and we rotate musicians. We are also in a phase of putting in the work to prepare for tours. In the application form below, select whether you are interested in rotating in only or if you’re also excited to tour.

ACCEPTING AUDITIONS FOR:
ACOUSTIC + ELECTRIC GUITARIST, DRUMMER, KEYBOARDIST, VIOLINIST / CELLIST, and BACKUP AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIAN / Stage Light Artist to rotate.

We are not considering vocalists, though the ability to sing harmonies & play multiple instruments is beneficial. (Please include vocals to your audition if you want to be considered as a backing vocalist).

PLEASE NOTE: All band members are part-time and we select the musicians for each gig based on talent, commitment, availability & logistics. Aly Aleigha is based out of Duluth, MN and most of her band members live within 3 hours from her. We may accept auditions from outside Aly’s home region.

AUDIO ENGINEERS:

Expectations - Audio Engineer arrives prior to band to set up sound system & run line checks in efficient timing, is a professional & friendly point person for any audio/technical needs with client, provides quality sound during events, oversees tear down & ensures safety & organization of equipment. We often work with a primary engineer who knows the band’s music very well and can also advocate for the band / run sound alongside any team of audio engineers sometimes provided at festivals, etc. HERE is the band’s Tech Rider - audio engineer will be proficient at using the band’s sound system.
Please email manager@aly-aleigha.com with “Audio Engineer - YOUR NAME” in the subject line. Let us know your experience in sound (# of years and in what capacity, what kind of equipment you are comfortable using, etc), a website if you have one, any live audio from shows you have run sound for if possible, and the name of any bands/venues/churches you have run sound for in the past.

EXPECTATIONS: Band + Audio Engineer gathers for consistent rehearsals in addition to gigs. Members practice on their own (rehearsal tracks provided) and will come to rehearsals + gigs prepared with their parts memorized, bringing positive energy both on & off the stage.

STEP 1

Learn the songs below (via Spotify, etc) & then film yourself playing along with backing tracks (see links below) + one praise & worship song of your choice. For Aly’s originals, we are looking for musicians who can replicate the instrumentation exactly as heard in official recordings. Aly’s originals are played along with backing tracks, so it is important to play exactly as heard in the recordings in order to prevent getting off from the backing tracks.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Aly Aleigha Band is committed to creating unique, beautiful music that connects with the people from all walks of life and draws listeners to a deeper encounter with Truth, shedding light on the deepest longings of the human heart.


TYPES OF GIGS / COMPENSATION

We are touring, so we are looking for committed members who are willing to travel with us for gigs. Compensation varies depends on travel / lodging expenses, etc.

In addition to original concerts and music festivals, we also offer music at various Christian events (mostly worship covers).  While we do not fall under the genre of an explicitly Christian band, Aly's Catholic faith is an important element to her identity both as a person and as a musician.  Band members are not expected to be Christian but must be respectful and willing to play at such events.

NOTE: Worship events are not performances—unlike at original concerts and festivals, where performance energy is encouraged, our role as musicians during worship events is to help facilitate worshippers in authentic prayer, drawing notice not to ourselves but to Christ.

We are looking for talented musicians who are dedicated to the band and our mission.  We strive for excellence, believing the gifts we are given are meant to be used to build up others for a purpose, and not kept hidden.  Regardless of personal beliefs, all band members must hold our mission in the highest esteem and live it out both on and off stage.

We must live a life of virtue, allowing the message of our music to penetrate our own hearts, recognizing our need for constant personal growth, and allowing that transformation to flow out into our music and interactions with fans/clients.
